Tropical Storm Hermine gather strength in the Gulf of Mexico and the warning was issued from Tampico, Mexico to Baffin Bay in the south Texas coast, the National Hurricane Center said on Monday. Tropical Storm Hermine, the eighth tropical storm of the season, has a wind speed of 60km per hour was about 305 km southeast of the eastern part of Tampico, Mexico. The storm was moving north at 13km per hour.
U.S. weather experts said the storm was expected to veer to the northwest and increase the speed, Monday.
“The center is expected to come ashore Tropical Storm Hermine northeast Mexico or southern Texas in the areas most subject to warnings Tuesday morning,” said hurricane center based in Miami.
